After I missed what is now considered to be a legendary gig in Maribor when Punčke played Stolp 3 some time ago, I was sure not to miss this one. There were two main reasons for this: firstly, Punčke are great young female rock trio from Croatia that are brilliant for photographing live (I shoot them finally for the first time few months ago in Ljubljana when they were supporting Queens of the Stone Age), and secondly, the organiser of the concert, Miha Lovše, deserves every respect of concert lovers in Maribor and Slovenia, because of his enormous enthusiasm and great organisational skills, that will make Maribor eventually a town that no band want's to miss on their tour. Just mark my words.

Free train raid from Maribor to Ruše, bus from Ruše uphill to Pohorje mountain, an hour of hiking through the woods, then a concert of a cool band in a mountain house - sounds like a great Friday afternoon / night, right?

Continuing our fruitful collaboration, I was very happy and honoured to be invited from the band to shoot probably their biggest live show in their career (so far, that is!) in a sold out Small hall of Dom sportova in Zagreb last weekend. And amazing concert it was!
Miki Solus
Train line Maribor - Ruše, Maribor (Slovenia), 28/11/2014
I don’t know of many bands that consists only of vocal, keyboards, cajon and bas and Miki Solus, young Croatian trio with great lyrics and cool music, are just that kind of a band. I also don’t know of many bands who performed in a train carriage (on a regular train line!), and Miki Solus did just that last Friday night!
Queens of the Stone Age + Punčke

Queens of the Stone Age are no strangers in Ljubljana - they played here in 2003, and there are people still talking about that show. Promoting their new album "… Like Clockwork", Joshua Homme and the guys sold out this gig without bigger problems, so that meant some serious rock'n'roll!
