Last week I had the privilege to join Koala Voice, a great young Slovenian band on the first leg of their Da Da Tour — the tour (still on!) includes various towns in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. It happened just 3 months after we collaborated on a photo shoot for new promotional images for the band and I was super excited to be on a road with one of my favourite bands!
I’ve said many times that I love to photograph concerts but simply adore to shoot festivals, for many different reasons including the intensiveness of events in a relatively short period of time consisting of usually few days. Getting to know a bunch of cool and interesting people along the way is an added bonus, for sure. Well, being on tour with a band beats even that — I officially fell in love with the tour life and all that it brings! :)
Sure, there is a lot of waiting, travelling and sleeping deprivation, but on the other hand, we had a LOT of laughs, we got to know some really cool people, ate amazing food and all in all — had a ball :)
The first gig was in Zagreb, Croatia where they’re not an unknown band, since they played there already few times, and a great, loud and sweaty gig it was!

Sixth edition of a smaller rock festival in my old home town, and the first one on a new location - instead of old army barracks, this year it was lake Šoderica, some 20 minutes away from the city. Also, my first time on this festival :)
